Our Sponsors

First Artists works with a variety of partners from the public and private sectors. Our sponsors help First Artists distribute art supplies, recruit volunteers and raise awareness of our work across the country. First Artists' parent nonprofit, First Book, has partnered with many corporations, such as Baskin-Robbins, Cheerios, The Coca Cola Company, Disney, Lincoln Mercury, Verizon, and others, to devise cause-based marketing campaigns that give exposure both to the company and to its support of First Book's work.

First Artists is interested in exploring innovative cause-based marketing partnerships of its own with corporations reaching a wide variety of demographics. If you are interested in developing a partnership between your company and First Artists, please contact First Artists at (202) 393-1222 or via email at info@firstartists.org.

First Artists also works with art suppliers to ensure that we offer the best quality art supplies to our programs. If you are an art supply company interested in offering your products to First Artists, please click here.

What First Artists Brings to the Table. First Artists has an impressive list of general assets that can be used to design a targeted campaign for any advertiser, as follows:

  • Great Ideas and Great Implementation. First Artists provides top quality cause-based marketing concepts and then follows up their ideas with flawless implementation from the national level to the local markets.
  • Experience in Working with the Media. First Book has had tremendous success at working with a variety of media during its cause-based marketing campaigns. During one campaign, First Book staged 61 local events and received nearly 300 minutes of radio and television airtime. Another campaign included appearances on six national broadcasts including the Today show (NBC) and The Early Show (CBS). Some campaigns have included celebrities who have joined First Book representatives for interviews on various local and regional news programs nationwide. In print, First Book's corporate partnerships have been highlighted in Advertising Age, Business Week, Cosmopolitan, Esquire, Harper's Bazaar, Marie Claire, O, The Oprah Magazine, USA Today, USA WEEKEND, Woman's Day, Working Woman, and many local newspapers including the Chicago Tribune, the Detriot Free Press, Los Angeles Times, and many others.
  • Experienced National Staff. First Artists will leverage the experience of First Book's experienced and dynamic national staff that has created and implemented promotional and advertising campaigns for some of the largest companies in the country. Our staff stands ready to assist advertising teams in creating the most memorable cause-based initiatives.
  • Local Networks in Hundreds of Communities. First Artists and First Book operate through a network of Advisory Boards in hundreds of communities. These local affiliates stand ready to assist in implementing local promotions in retail and other locations highlighting the promotional campaign. Local representatives in the past have assisted with media outreach, event execution, local contacts, and a variety of additional activities at the local level.
  • Art Supplies for Distribution. First Artists is able to provide contributions of art supplies that can be announced as an additional component of a national promotion or cause-based marketing campaign. Because of First Artist’s national infrastructure, these art supplies can be distributed to children from low-income families in all 50 states or in selected markets, depending upon the design of the campaign.
  • Support from Celebrities and Children's Advocates. Many supporters of First Book have expressed their enthusiasm for the creation of First Artists. In the past, First Book has collaborated with Reba McEntire, Susan Sarandon, Whoopi Goldberg, Janet Jackson, Joan Allen, Faith Hill, Magic Johnson, Jim Carrey, Frankie Muniz, and a range of other entertainers. First Book has a network of agency and entertainment industry contacts who will help in recruiting the right voice for the campaign. First Book also has strong relationships with a variety of children’s advocates and children’s book illustrators including Ruby Bridges, Laura Numeroff, Felicia Bond, William Joyce, and Mary GrandPre as well as with many United States Senators, Members of the United States House of Representatives, Governors, and Mayors.
  • Event to Launch First Artists Nationally. A partnership with a corporate sponsor would combine some or all of the above assets in a highly publicized launch event held at a location of the corporate partner’s choice. The event would celebrate the creation of a new partnership between First Artists and a corporate sponsor that, in many cases, brings art education to children who otherwise would never experience it.
