Recipient Groups

First Artists Recipient Groups should meet the following criteria to be eligible to apply for a grant from a First Artists Advisory Board:

At least 80% of the children in their program are from low-income families
Incorporate art as a part of program activities
Provide multiple art projects, ideally each child should perform an art activity once per month

First Artists is happy to talk with any program about becoming a recipient group.

Call the First Artists national office at 202-393-1222 and ask to speak with Roopal Saran to find out if there is a First Artists Local Advisory Board serving your community
If there is an Advisory Board in your area, contact them for details on their granting cycle and to request an application
If there is not an Advisory Board in your area, ask about the First Artists National Art Supplies Bank and find out how you can register to receive supplies in the future.
